Meet Dr. Kirk

Dr. Russell Kirk is a board-certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon and the well-known Oral Surgery Success podcast host. 

He earned his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University of Tennessee College of Dentistry in 1994. Then, he completed the General Practice Residency (GPR) program at Naval Hospital Great Lakes as his first active duty assignment in the Navy. During his GPR, Russell had the opportunity to spend several weeks working with the oral surgery residents and quickly realized that a career dedicated to oral surgery was his calling.

Fast forward through certifications, fellowships, residencies, active duty assignments, achieving the rank of Captain, 25+ years of military service, and nearly 2 decades of private practice, and “Captain Kirk” now thrives on helping hundreds of dentists expand their knowledge, improve their skills, and increase their confidence in performing oral surgery procedures. 

Dr. Kirk understands that he can only help so many patients within his own practice. But by sharing his expertise and helping others with his knowledge of oral surgery, he can improve the overall patient experience, help others grow their practices, and have a more significant impact on the world.
